Potential for computation in micromagnetics via topological conservation laws

چکیده
Micromagnetics supports emergent discrete structures, an emergent dynamics, and emergent conservation laws; here we discuss these features in view of their potential to be harnessed for computational purposes. More generally, we use mi-cromagnetics as a concrete setting for discussing how fine-grained, massively parallel computation might be achieved in a homogeneously fabricated and homogeneously driven medium.

Symbolic Computation of Nonlocal Symmetries and Nonlocal Conservation Laws of Partial Differential Equations Using the GeM Package for Maple
The use of the symbolic software package GeM for Maple is illustrated with examples of computation of nonlocal symmetries and nonlocal conservation laws of nonlinear partial differential equations. In the considered examples, the nonlocal symmetries and conservation laws arise as local symmetries and conservation laws of potential systems. FullMaple codewith detailed comments is presented. متن کاملCross-over in Scaling Laws: A Simple Example from Micromagnetics
Scaling laws for characteristic length scales (in time or in the model parameters) are both experimentally robust and accessible for rigorous analysis. In multiscale situations cross–overs between different scaling laws are observed. We give a simple example from micromagnetics. In soft ferromagnetic films, the geometric character of a wall separating two magnetic domains depends on the film th...
متن کاملTOPOLOGICAL CHARACTERIZATION FOR FUZZY REGULAR LANGUAGES
We present a topological characterization for fuzzy regular languages: we show that there is a bijective correspondence between fuzzy regular languages and the set of all clopen fuzzy subsets with finite image in the induced fuzzy topological space of Stone space (Profinite space), and then we give a representation of closed fuzzy subsets in the induced fuzzy topological space via fuzzy regular...
متن کاملH-Matrix Techniques for Stray-Field Computations in Computational Micromagnetics
A major task in the simulation of micromagnetic phenomena is the effective computation of the stray-field H and/or of the corresponding energy, where H solves the magnetostatic Maxwell equations in the entire space. For a given FE magnetization mh, the naive computation of H via a closed formula typically leads to dense matrices and quadratic complexity with respect to the number N of elements....
متن کاملA total variation diminishing high resolution scheme for nonlinear conservation laws
In this paper we propose a novel high resolution scheme for scalar nonlinear hyperbolic conservation laws. The aim of high resolution schemes is to provide at least second order accuracy in smooth regions and produce sharp solutions near the discontinuities. We prove that the proposed scheme that is derived by utilizing an appropriate flux limiter is nonlinear stable in the sense of total varia...
